A family of hunters in Albia , Iowa wrote a new chapter in the Whitetail Deer history book in the fall of 2003 when the youngest of 4 cousins, fifteen-year-old Tony Lovstuen, harvested a 38 point non-typical buck. This potential World Record Whitetail known as “The Lovstuen Buck” has an official panel score of 307 5/8” B&C. Steve Angran, Mark Murphy and Tony’s Dad, Doug Lovstuen, pursued this magnificent buck for several years before fate chose Tony to take this deer with his Knight Muzzleloader on September, 29, 2003 during the youth muzzleloader season.
